4-23. PAINTINGAND STENCILING.

General instruction for painting and stenciling

are in TB 43-0209 and TM 43-0139.

Spot painting and stenciling will be performed under the control of Unit maintenance personnel.

Painting of a complete semitrailer can be authorized and performed only by Direct Support maintenance or

by higher support levels.

4-24. LUBRICATION INSTRUCTIONS.

To prevent corrosion, apply a light coat of lubricating oil to metal parts after they are cleaned but before they are

assembled. Lubricate components and systems in accordance with the instructions in PMCS (Table 2-1) and

Appendix J.

4-25. TORQUE VALUES.

Torque values given in the maintenance procedures apply to unlubricated threads. Follow the torque values given

in the maintenance procedures; if no torque value is given, refer to Appendix H.
