NOTE

Exterior of turbocharger should be cleaned before disassembly. Mark compressor cas-

ing, diffuser plate, turbine casing, bearing housing, and clamps to make certain that

parts are assembled in the same position.

1. Turbocharger (1)

Tape (2)

Remove.

Discard.

2. Bearing housing (3)

Oil line inlet

fitting (4)

Using 5/8-inch box-end wrench, unscrew

and take off.

Oil line outlet

fitting (5)

Using 1 3/8-inch box-end wrench, unscrew

and take off.

4. Rotor shaft (6)

Self-locking nut (7)

and turbine wheel

shaft (8)

Using ST-1095 socket and 1/2-inch

drive hinged handle, hold turbine wheel

from turning.

b.

Using 1/2-inch drive 3/4-inch deep

socket, ratchet handle, and 6-inch ex-

tension, unscrew and take off nut (7).
