25. Attach two eye bolts (56) and nuts (57) on rear attachment points (58).

CAUTION

•

When attaching suitable lifting device, chain tension on front and rear of

transmission must be equal.

Failure to apply proper tension during transmission

removal may cause transmission to shift during removal and may cause damage to

pre-connect “B” valve, pre-connect “A” flow sensor, or transmission itself.

•

Transmission is removed at an angle with front of transmission higher than back.

Note angle of transmission prior to removal to ensure proper installation.

Failure to

comply may cause damage to equipment.

26. Attach suitable lifting device on two rear eye bolts (56) and around transmission mounting brackets (59).

27. Remove three locknuts (60), washers (61), screws (62), washers (63), plate (64), and three mounting

biscuits (65) from each of two transmission mounting brackets (59).

Discard locknuts.

NOTE

Lift transmission slightly with suitable lifting device.

28. Remove three mounting biscuits (66) from each of two transmission mounting supports (67).

29. With the aid of an assistant and a suitable lifting device, lift and guide transmission (25) away from vehicle.
