Turn brake drum (1) until inspection hole (2) is at bottom of right brak e
lining .
Put 0.010-inch feeler gage in inspection hole (2) so it is between brak e
lining (3) and inside of brake drum (4) and can be pulled out with drag .
If feeler gage just goes in easily, take feeler gage away and put cover o n
inspection hole (2). Then go to frame 9. If it does not, go to step 4 .
Using 1 1/8-inch box wrench, loosen and hold jamnut (5). Using 1/2-inc h
open end wrench, turn anchor pin (6) to left until feeler gage just goes i n
easily and can be pulled out with drag .
Using 1/2-inch open end wrench, hold anchor pin (6). Using 1 1/8-inc h
box wrench, tighten jamnut (5) .
