WARNING

Drain air reservoirs before disconnecting air lines. Small parts

under pressure may shoot out with high velocity, causing injury to

personnel.

NOTE

On later model engines, many lockwashers have been replaced by

screw-assembled lockwashers.

Loosen nut (6) and remove air governor tube (7) from elbow (5).

Loosen nut (9) and remove air outlet tube (8) from elbow (10).

Loosen two hose clamps (11) and remove hose (13) from air compressor (14) and tube (12).

Remove four screw-assembled washers (1) and bracket (2) from cylinder block (3).

Remove screw (22) and washer (23) from bracket (24).

Remove two nuts (15), lockwashers (16), washers (17), screws (21), and washers (20) from air

compressor (14) and accessory drive (18). Discard two lockwashers (16).

Remove two screws (26), washers (25), and bracket (24) from cylinder block (3).

Remove two screw-assembled washers (19), air compressor (14), and gasket (4) from accessory

drive (18).

Remove coupling drive (27) from accessory drive (18).
