EQUIPMENT CONDITION
MATERIALS/PARTS
Tiedown strap (Appendix D, Item 688)

Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).
l
Hood raised and secured (TM 9-2320-272-10).
a. Removal
1.
Remove clamp (3) and air indicator tube (1) from connector (4).
2.
Remove connector (4) from nipple (2).
3.
Remove tiedown strap (17) and tachometer drive cable (18) from air intake ducting (7). Discard
tiedown strap (17).
4.
Remove two nuts (6), bracket (5), and U-bolt (14) from air intake ducting (7) and support bracket (13).
NOTE
Tag spacers for installation.
5.
Remove two screws (15), washers (16), support bracket (13), and two spacers (12) from cylinder
head (10).
6.
Remove two clamps (8) and air intake ducting (7) from turbocharger (9) and pipe (11).
b. Disassembly
1.
Remove clamp (20) and hose (19) from tube (21).
2.
Remove clamp (22) and tube (21) from elbow (23).
3.
Remove clamp (24) and elbow (23) from tube (25).
4.
Remove clamp (26) and tube (25) from elbow (27).
1.
Inspect tubes (21) and (25) for cracks and dents. Replace tube (21) or (25) if cracked or dented.
2.
Inspect elbows (23) and (27) for cracks and dents. Replace elbow (23) or (27) if cracked or dented.
1.
Install tube (25) on elbow (27) with clamp (26). Do not tighten clamp (26).
2.
Install elbow (23) on tube (25) with clamp (24). Do not tighten clamp (24).
3.
Install tube (21) on elbow (23) with clamp (22). Do not tighten clamp (22).
4.
Install hose (19) on tube (21) with clamp (20). Do not tighten clamp (20).
