EQUIPMENT CONDITION

• Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).

• Thermal switch removed (para. 3-407).

Cotter pin (Appendix D, Item 49)

Four lockwashers (Appendix D, Item 400)

1.

Remove cotter pin (10) from oil pan shroud (6) and exhaust tube (1). Discard cotter pin (10).

2.

Remove two nuts (12), screws (11), and clamp halves (2) from exhaust tube (1) and water jacket

outlet (3).

3.

Remove exhaust tube (1) from water jacket outlet (3) and oil pan shroud (6).

4.

Remove four nuts (7), lockwashers (9), oil pan shroud (6), and four washers (4) from oil pan (5).

Discard lockwashers (9).

5.

Remove four studs (8) from oil pan (5).

1.

Install four studs (8) in oil pan (5).

2.

Install four washers (4) and oil pan shroud (6) on oil pan (5) with four new lockwashers (9) and

nuts (7).

3.

Install exhaust tube (1) on water jacket outlet (3) and oil pan shroud (6).

4.

Install two clamp halves (2) on exhaust tube (1) and water jacket outlet (3) with two screws (11) and

nuts (12).

5.

Install new cotter pin (10) on oil pan shroud (6) and exhaust tube (1).
