Remove grommet (3) from firewall (2) and heater harness (10).

Remove clamp (11) from heater harness (10) and push heater harness (10) through firewall (2).

Remove five tiedown straps (1) from heater harness (10). Discard tiedown straps (1).

Remove nut (5) and wire (4) from heater fuel pump solenoid (7).

Remove nut (8) and wire (9) from heater fuel pump (6).

Remove two screws (24), lockwashers (23), and wires (22) and (13) from thermal switch (20).

Discard lockwashers (23).

Remove two locknuts (21) and screws (15) from bracket (25) and shield (16). Discard locknuts (21).

Remove locknut (19), screw (17), and shield (16) from bracket (18). Discard locknut (19).

Remove locknut (12), clamp (11), heater harness (10), and screw (14) from shield (16). Discard

locknut (12).

1.

Push heater harness (10) through firewall (2) and install clamp (11) on heater harness (10).

Install grommet (3) on heater harness (10) and firewall (2).

Install heater harness (10) and clamp (11) on shield (16) with screw (14) and new locknut (12).

4.

Install shield (16) on bracket (18) with screw (17) and new locknut (19).

5.

Install two screws (15) and new locknuts (21) on bracket (25) and shield (16).

NOTE

Apply sealing compound to both thermal switch terminals.

6.

Install wires (22) and (13) on thermal switch (20) with two new lockwashers (23) and screws (24).

7.

Install wire (9) on heater fuel pump (6) with nut (8).

8.

Install wire (4) on heater fuel pump solenoid (7) with nut (5).

9.

Install five new tiedown straps (1) on heater harness (10).
