General mechanic’s tool kit (Appendix E, Item 1)

EQUIPMENT CONDITION

MATERIALS/PARTS

• Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).

• Pioneer tool kit mounting bracket removed

Five locknuts (Appendix D, Item 294)

(para. 3-415).

NOTE

Left and right mud guards are replaced the same way. This

procedure covers the left mud guard.

a. Removal

1.

Remove pin (6) and mud guard (1) from bracket (8).

2.

Remove two locknuts (3), screws (7), and bracket (8) from plate (4). Discard locknuts (3).

3.

Remove three locknuts (2), screws (5), and plate (4) from frame rail (9). Discard locknuts (2).

b. Installation

1.

Install plate (4) on frame rail (9) with three screws (5) and new locknuts (2).

2.

Install bracket (8) on plate (4) with two screws (7) and new locknuts (3).

3.

Install mud guard (1) on bracket (8) with pin (6).
