Remove nut (4), screw (3), and surge tank support (1) from surge tank mounting bracket (2).

Remove screw (5), lockwasher (6), and surge tank support (1) from exhaust manifold (7). Discard

lockwasher (6).

Remove nut (17), screw (19), coupling (20), pipe assembly (16), and gasket (21) from rear exhaust

pipe (18). Discard gasket (21).

Remove nut (22), clamp (12), gasket (11), and pipe assembly (16) from exhaust brake assembly (10).

Discard gasket (11).

Remove clamp (14), gasket (23), and adapter assembly (13) from turbocharger (15). Discard

gasket (23).

Remove two screws (35), four washers (36), cylinder support assembly (25), and exhaust brake

assembly (10) from surge tank mounting bracket (2).

Remove nut (29), clamp (28), adapter assembly (13), and gasket (30) from exhaust brake

assembly (10). Discard gasket (30).

Remove two screws (26), washers (27), and cylinder support assembly (25) from exhaust brake

assembly (10).

Remove elbow (31) from outlet port (32) of quick-release valve (33).

Remove elbow (34) from inlet port (24) of quick-release valve (33).

Remove tube (8) and elbow (9) from exhaust brake assembly (10).

Disconnect rear exhaust pipe from muffler (para. 3-49).
