NOTE

Perform steps 16 and 17 to install crankshaft, support assembly,

and new gasket in crankcase.

Position piston (2) at 90 degrees before or after TDC and install crankshaft (7) in connecting rod (9)

journal.

Install new gasket (8) and support assembly (6) on crankcase (1) with four washers (5), six screws (3),

and lockwashers (4). Tighten screws (3) 30-35 lb-ft (41-48 N•m).

Install exhaust valve (18), new O-ring (15), and new packing seal (17) on valve seat (16).

Using thumb pressure, press valve seat (16) into position in cylinder head (21), install wear

plate (20), exhaust valve spring (19), and valve seat (16) in cylinder head (21).

Install new gasket (22) and cylinder head (21) on crankcase (1).

Install new gasket (14) and cylinder head cover (13) on cylinder head (21) with four new

lockwashers (11), washers (12), and screws (10).
