EQUIPMENT CONDITION

MATERIALS/PARTS

Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).

l

Transfer case oil drained (LO 9-2320-272-12).

Gasket sealant (Appendix C, Item 30)

Antiseize tape (Appendix C, Item 72)

NOTE

Have drainage container ready to catch oil

a. Removal

1.

Disconnect hose (4) from elbow (3).

2.

Remove elbow (3) from oil pump (1).

NOTE

Mark position of oil pump for installation.

3.

Remove six screws (5), washers (6), and oil pump (1) from transfer case (2).

b. Installation

1.

Apply gasket sealant to mating surfaces of oil pump (1) and transfer case (2).

2.

Install oil pump (1) on transfer case (2) with six washers (6) and screws (5). Tighten screws (5)

40-65 lb-ft (54-88 N•m).

3.

Apply antiseize tape to male threads of elbow (3) and install on oil pump (1).

4.

Connect hose (4) to elbow (3).
