Inspect parking brakeshoes (3) or service brakeshoes (6) for cracks, warpage, flat spots on faces, and out-

of- round rivet holes. Replace brakeshoes (3) or (6) if cracked, warped, flat spots on face, or holes are out

of round.

d. Service Brakeshoe Assembly

Using brake reliner, install new brake linings (5) on brakeshoes (6) with twenty new rivets (4). Refer to

TM 9-4919-443-12 for instructions on using brake reliner.

e. Parking Brakeshoe Assembly

Using brake reliner, install new brake linings (2) on brakeshoes (3) with twelve new rivets (1). Refer to

TM 9-4919-443-12 for instructions on using brake reliner.

FOLLOW-ON TASKS:

• Install parking brakeshoes (para. 3-176).

• Install service brakeshoes (para. 3-180).
