EQUIPMENT CONDITION
Electrical tool kit (Appendix D, Item 40)

Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).
l
Battery ground cables disconnected (para. 3-126).
a. Heater Thermostat Removal
1.
Remove cover (3) from thermostat (5).
2.
Remove two screws (4) and thermostat (5) from control center box cover (1).
3.
Remove two screws (6) and wires (2) from thermostat (5).
4.
Remove thermostat (5) from control center box cover (1).
b.
10 kW Heater Thermostat Removal
1.
Remove cover (10) from thermostat (8).
2.
Remove two screws (9) and thermostat (8) from control center box cover (12).
3.
Disconnect three insulated wire splices (11) from three wires (7) and (13). Discard insulated wire
splices (11).
4.
Remove thermostat (8) from control center box cover (12).
c. Heater Thermostat Installation
1.
Connect three wires (7) and (13) with three new insulated wire splices (11).
2.
Position thermostat (8) on control center box cover (12) and install two screws (9).
3.
Install cover (10) on thermostat (8).
d. 10 kW Heater Thermostat Installation
1.
Install two wires (2) on thermostat (5) with two screws (6).
2.
Position thermostat (5) on control center box cover (1) and install two screws (4).
3.
Install cover (3) on thermostat (5).
