EQUIPMENT CONDITION

MATERIALS/PARTS

Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).

Two lockwashers (Appendix D, Item 390)

l

Battery ground cables disconnected (para. 3-126).

Two locknuts (Appendix D, Item 312)

Gasket (Appendix D, Item 211)

a. Removal

1.

Remove four screws (1), cover (2), and gasket (3) from converter (4). Discard gasket (3).

2.

Remove six nuts (9) and wires (10) from converter (4).

3.

Remove two lockwashers (8) and wiring harnesses (6) and (7) from converter (4).

4.

Remove four nuts (17), washers (18), and screws (11) from support bracket (5).

5.

Remove converter (4) from support bracket (5).

6.

Remove two locknuts (19), U-bolt (15), and nuts (16) from support bracket (5). Discard locknuts (19).

7.

Remove four nuts (13), screws (14), and support bracket (5) from van body (12).

b. Installation

1.

Install support bracket (5) on van body (12) with four screws (14) and nuts (13).

2.

Install two nuts (16) and U-bolt (15) on support bracket (5) with and new locknuts (19).

3.

Install converter (4) on support bracket (5) with four screws (11), washers (18), and nuts (17).

4.

Install two wiring harnesses (6) and (7) on converter (4) with two new lockwashers (8).

5.

Install six wires (10) on converter (4) with six nuts (9).

6.

Install gasket (3) and cover (2) on converter (4) with four screws (1).
