Using a puller, remove brake drum (23) and woodruff key (31) from worm gear shaft (10). Discard

woodruff key (31).

NOTE

Ensure gearcase and brake housing are marked for assembly.

Remove four screws (35), lockwashers (32), and brake housing (18) from gearcase (4). Discard

lockwashers (32).

Remove brake housing gasket (34) from gearcase (4). Discard gasket (34). Clean gasket remains

from mating surfaces.

Remove brake housing seal (33) from gearcase (4). Discard seal (33).
