Remove four screws (7), screws (8), lockwashers (9), end cover (6), and gasket (5) from gearcase (4).

Discard lockwashers (9) and gasket (5). Clean gasket remains from mating surfaces.

Remove four screws (15), lockwashers (16), and winch motor adapter (14) from gearcase (4). Discard

lockwashers (16).

Remove adapter gasket (13) from adapter (14). Discard gasket (13). Clean gasket remains from

mating surfacea.

Remove cotter pin (2), pin (1), and coupling (17) from worm gear shaft (10). Discard cotter pin (2).

Remove seal retainer (12) and gasket (11) from worm gear shaft (10). Discard gasket (11). Clean

gasket remains from mating surfaces.

Remove seal (3) from worm gear shaft (10). Discard seal (3).

Remove six screw-assembled washers (21), automatic brake cover (18), and gasket (19) from

automatic brake housing (20). Discard gasket (19). Clean gasket remains from mating surfaces.

Remove adjusting screw (24), washer (25), and O-ring (26) from brake housing (20).

Remove spring (27) and brake band (22) from housing (20).

Remove screw (29), lockwasher (30), and washer (28) from automatic brake drum (23). Discard

lockwasher (30).
