Screw on finger tight.

Adjust belt tension with

adjusting screw (1 ) until

belt tension gage reads

90/100.

Tighten locknut (3) to

50 Ib-ft (68 N-m) with

a torque wrench.

Start up (see TM 9-2320-

273-10).

Be sure to stay completely clear of fan blades.

Do not reach into fan area while engine is

operating.

Check that belt rides

smoothly on pulley and

that pulley is not slip-

ping.

Shut down (see TM 9-2320-

273-10).
