Remove the rings and seals from the outside diameter of the piston and the inside diameter

of the cover.

If necessary, studs (3) can be removed by unscrewing from the cover (2).

Remove and Disassemble Front Clutch.

(1) Move the

shifting forks in a position that prevents the gears from turning; then remove

nut (fig. 7-73) with a 2-3/16 in, socket. Remove the shaft seal retainer, seal and bearing.
