The front case weighs approximately
90 Ibs (41 kg).

Use a hoist to lift case evenly. It may be necessary to tap perimeter of case with a mallet
to separate case halves.

Tap out three bearings (1) using a mallet or soft drift.
NOTE
The countershaft assembled weighs
approximately 125 lbs.

Put a strap or rope around the three countershafts (fig. 7-100). Fasten a hoist to the strap
or rope. Remove three countershafts (1) and the three gears as a unit.
