Procedure
WARNING
Failure to properly inspect and
maintain seat belts can cause serious
injury or loss of life.
If the replacement of any part of the
seat belt is required, the entire belt
assembly must be replaced,
a. Check for worn webbing (1) at the latch (2)
and D-loop (3) areas.
b. Check D-loop (3) for free rotation, de-
formation, cracks, or damage.
c. Check comfort latch (4) for proper opera-
tion, cracks, and damage.
Not Mission
Capable If:
Webbing is cut, frayed, or
excessively worn.
D-loop does not rotate
freely or is deformed,
cracked, or broken.
Comfort latch is broken,
or does not lock in place
easily, and does not re-
lease by tugging down on
webbing.
