NOTE

M984E1 (Axle Model 650) does not use

wear ring on axle spindle. Step

Install wear ring (1) on axle spindle (2)

with beveled edge facing out.

NOTE

Studs are stamped R and L. R

studs are threaded for

installation on right side of

vehicle only. L studs are

threaded for installation on

left side of vehicle only. Be

sure to install correct studs

into drum.

Drive ten wheel studs (3)

into drum (4).

Install hub (5) onto

drum (4).

Install outer bearing cup (6)

into hub (5).

Apply grease to inside of hub (5). Pack inner

bearing (7) with grease.

Install inner bearing cup (8).

Install inner bearing (7).

Coat inner lip of seal (9) with lubricating oil.

Coat inner lip of seal (9) with lubricating oil.

Using handle, adapter and pilot, install

seal (9).
