10-2. AXLE NO. 3 (AXLE MODELS 480 AND 580) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (CONT).
a. Removal.
(1)
Remove power divider lockout air line (1).
(2)
Remove fitting (2) from lockout air chamber (3).
(3)
Remove screw (4), washer (5), nut (6), lockwasher (7), and clamp (8).
CAUTION
Model 480 axle weighs approximately 1100 lb (499 kg). Model 580 axle weighs
approximately 1400 lb (636 kg). Be sure the lifting device used for this task is
adequate.
(4)
Support axle (9) with suitable lifting device.
