Warning Event.
A warning event initiates when a critical system failure or limit has
occurred.
A critical system is defined as a part or system that may cause the fire apparatus
to stop flowing water
immediately
if no action is taken.
This event is logged in the
diagnostics archive and causes the “Engine RPM” location on the Home screen to read
“Warning!” accompanied by a flashing red indicator light on the display and an audible alarm.
The OK light shall be illuminated green when scrolling through the warning screens.
Once
the user has scrolled through the warning screens, the display will return to the Home screen
and the warning text should still be visible and illuminated red until the active warnings have
disappeared.
The user may press the flashing red indicator light to view a description of the event that has
taken place. Critical system failures or limits that cause a warning event and their descriptive
screens are as follows:
If more than one warning has been issued, the user must view and acknowledge each one
before the Home screen may be viewed again.
If a warning event and caution event occurs
at the same instance, the Home screen display indicator shall flash red instead of amber for
sense of priority.
The user shall view the warning events before viewing the caution events.
