Caution Event.
A caution event initiates when a non-critical system failure or limit has
occurred.
A non-critical system is defined as a part or system that may cause the fire
apparatus to stop flowing water
eventually
if no action is taken.
This event is logged in the
diagnostics archive and causes the “Engine RPM” location on the Home screen to read
“Caution!” accompanied by a flashing amber indicator light on the display and an audible
alarm.
The OK light shall be illuminated green when scrolling through the caution screens.
Once the user has scrolled through the caution screens, the display will return to the Home
screen and the caution text should still be visible and illuminated red until the active cautions
have disappeared.
The user may press the flashing amber indicator light to view a description of the event that
has taken place. Non-critical system failures or limits that cause a caution event and their
descriptive screens are as follows:
If more than one caution has been issued, the user must view and acknowledge each one
before the Home screen may be viewed again.
If a warning event and caution event occurs
at the same instance, the Home screen shall flash red instead of amber for sense of priority.
The user shall view the warning events before viewing the caution events.
