NOTE

•

Pipes under 1.5 in. (38.1 mm) diameter, apply pipe sealant only.

•

Pipes 1.5 in. (38.1 mm) diameter or over, apply pipe sealant and teflon tape.

•

Leave first two or three threads exposed when applying pipe sealant and teflon tape.

2.

Apply four to five wraps of teflon tape (3) over threads of pipe (2) where pipe sealant (1) was applied.

3.

Apply pipe sealant (1) over threads of pipe (2) again, where teflon tape (3) was applied.

4.

Install pipe (2) in adapter (4). Screw pipe until completely tight and desired position is obtained.
