Park vehicle with engine off and parking brake applied.

Turn universal joint (3) on winch drive shaft (1) until shearpin (5) is

Remove two cotter pins (2) from shearpin (5). Discard cotter pins (2).

Remove shearpin (5) using drift punch and hammer. If shearpin (5) has

broken, line up holes in yoke (4) and drive shaft (1) and tap out remaining pieces

of shearpin (5). Discard shearpin (5).
