(6) Position drain pan under transmission (9).

(7) Disconnect transmission oil cooler hose (2) from fitting

(10).

(8) Remove preformed packing (11) from fitting (10).

(9) Remove transmission auxiliary oil cooler hose (2) from

vehicle.

d. Installation (S/N 7162 and higher).

NOTE

•

Step (1) requires the aid of an assistant.

•

Install plastic cable ties as required.

(1) Route transmission auxiliary oil cooler hose (1) on

vehicle.

(2) Position preformed packing (2) on fitting (3).

(3) Position transmission auxiliary oil cooler hose (1) on

fitting (3).

(4) Tighten transmission auxiliary oil cooler hose (1) to 94-

104 lb-ft (127-141 N·m).

(5) Position clamp (4) on transmission auxiliary oil cooler

hose (1).

NOTE

Step (6) requires the aid of an assistant.

(6) Position two clamps (4) on bracket (5) with two bolts (6)

and self-locking nuts (7).

(7) Tighten self-locking nut (7) to 7-11 lb-ft (9-15 N·m).
