GENERAL
This WP provides information on the malfunction/symptom index and the procedures for Organizational
troubleshooting.
MALFUNCTION/SYMPTOM INDEX (WP 0014 00)
The malfunction/symptom index is a quick reference index for finding troubleshooting procedures.
Associated with each symptom name is a WP sequence number representing the starting point in a
troubleshooting sequence.
TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURES (WPs 0015 00 and 0016 00)
The troubleshooting WPs contain tables listing the malfunctions, tests or inspections, and corrective
actions required to return the trailer to normal operation. Perform the steps in the order they appear in the
tables.
The columns are defined as follows:
1.
MALFUNCTION—
A visual or operational indication that something is wrong with the trailer.
2.
TEST OR INSPECTION—
A procedure to isolate the problem in a component or system.
3.
CORRECTIVE ACTION—
A procedure to correct the problem.
If you are unsure of the location of an item mentioned in troubleshooting, refer to WP 0002 00 or to the
maintenance task where the item is replaced.
Before performing troubleshooting, read and follow all safety instructions found in the warning summary at
the front of this manual.
This manual cannot list all malfunctions that may occur, nor all tests or inspections and corrective actions. If
a malfunction is not listed, or is not corrected by the listed corrective actions, notify your supervisor.
