Use this procedure to pump fuel from semitrailer to
storage facility.
•
Operation begins and ends with all valves closed.
a.
Remove fire extinguishers (1) and bring them to the point of operation.
b.
Ground and bond semitrailer per para. C (WP 0007 00-6).
c.
Remove one or both vapor recovery system caps.
d.
Start engine (para. G). When engine is warm, adjust to idle speed (1000–1200 rpm).
e.
Remove 4-in. hose (2) from hose tube (3) and connect hose (2) between outlet B (6)
and fuel storage facility.
f.
Pull emergency valve A control handle (8) to open position. Open valves B, H, M, and
K (4, 7, 9, and 5).
