NOTE

Step 1 applies to the installation of

the power takeoff drive shaft. Per-

form step 1 only if necessary to repair

the power takeoff drive shaft.

Install power takeoff drive shaft (1), four

hexagon head capscrews (2), and new

Iockwire (3) (item 26, appx C) on auxiliary

drive assembly (4).

Install cushioning pad (5) and spacer tube

(6) to hull bottom.

NOTE

Step 3 is written for installation of left

alignment ring, but also applies to

right alignment ring.

Install left alignment ring (7) in slot (8) in

final drive housing.

Install four new preformed packings (9) on

powerplant (10).
