DISASSEMBLY

Remove light lens (1), preformed packing (2), and incandescent lamp (3) from light socket (4).

Remove gasket (5) from light socket (4).

Remove electrical bondnut (6), lockwasher (7), and retaining strap (8) from light socket (4).

Inspect for broken, damaged, or missing parts.

If light socket is damaged, repair is by replacement of next higher assembly.

Repair is by replacement of authorized parts (TM 9-2350-238-24P-1) which do not meet

inspection criteria.
