Step 2.
Check for seized or damaged radiator cooling vaneaxial fan bearings. Check
radiator cooling vaneaxial fan housing for scratches or gouges from impeller.
Move impeller fore and aft by hand, checking for too much play or looseness.

If impeller has hit housing, is loose, or will not turn, remove
radiator cooling vaneaxial fan. Refer to TM 9-2350-238-20-1 .
Repair radiator cooling vaneaxial fan bearings. Refer to page
2-68 .
Install and adjust new V-belt. Refer to TM 9-2350-238-20-1.
If fan belt tensioner is damaged, repair fan belt tensioner. Refer
to
TM
9-2350-238-20-1.

Step 3.
Remove V-belt, refer to TM 9-2350-238-20-1. Start engine. Check clutch fa n
sheave for rotation. Stop engine .
If clutch fan sheave did not rotate, refer to malfunction 11, steps 3
and 4, page 2-11.
GENERATO R
11. GENERATOR DOES NOT OPERATE .
Step 1.
Check for faulty or damaged voltage regulator .
Troubleshoot voltage regulator. Refer to TM 9-2350-238-20-1 .
