REPAIR COMMANDER’S CUPOLA MACHINE GUN MOUNT (M113A2, M1059,

AND M1064 ONLY) — Continued

DISASSEMBLY

1.

Remove cotter pin (1) and headed pin (2) from gun mount support (3). Discard cotter pin.

2.

Remove travel lock pin (4), two S-hooks (5), chain (6), and travel lock (7) from gun mount support (3).

3.

Remove cotter pin (8), cover (9), spring (10), and straight pin (11) from gun mount support (3). Discard cotter pin.

4.

Remove cam and handle assembly (12) and two pins (13) from gun mount support (3).

5.

Remove two screws (14), lockwashers (15), and bracket (16) from gun mount support (3). Discard lockwashers.

CLEAN, INSPECT, AND REPAIR

1.

Clean parts with solvent, cleaning compound.

2.

Inspect parts for corrosion, distortion, wear, cracks, and loose or missing parts. Repair or replace damaged and missing

parts.
