REPLACE BULKHEAD CONNECTION TO HEATER TUBE (M981 ONLY) — Continued

INSTALLATION

WARNING

Adhesive, primer, sealant compounds, and isopropyl alcohol are toxic and flammable. These

compounds are toxic to eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. Continued exposure can make you

dizzy and irritate your eyes and throat.

Always use in well ventilated areas, away from heat, sparks, and flames. Do not breathe fumes.

Do not allow into contact with skin and eyes. Use goggles or face shield and protective gloves.

1.

Apply light coat of sealing compound to all external tapered threads. Do not apply sealant beyond small end of tapered

threads.

2.

Install elbow (5) on heater.

3.

Install adapter (2) on elbow (5).

4.

Install nipple (3) on power plant compartment bulkhead. Secure with jamnut (4).

5.

Install fuel hose (1) on adapter (2) and nipple (3).

6.

Install two adapters (6) on shutoff valve (7).

7.

Install tube (8) on nipple (3). Secure with nut (9).

8.

Install shutoff valve (7) on tube (8). Secure with nut (10).

9.

Install nipple (11) on hull. Secure with jamnut (12).

10. Install tube (13) on shutoff valve (7) and nipple (11). Secure with two nuts (14).

11. Install clamp (15) on tube (13). Align clamp with bulkhead weldnut. Secure with screw (16).
