Shock Absorber
a.
Check shock absorber for dents or cracks.
Replace shock absorber that is bent, broken,
cracked, or dented enough to hinder
operation (WP 0435 00).
Any cracked,
broken, bent
or missing
shocks,
dents that
hinder shock
operation or
class III fluid
leaks.
b.
Replace shock absorbers if they have class
III fluid leaks or loose fitting bearings
(WP 0435 00).
NOTE
Remove and discard cotter pin,
re-torque nut, if loose. Tighten to
middle range of torque, check to see
if nut and hole through mount are
aligned, install new pin. If not aligned,
tighten nut until alignment is first
achieved and then install new cotter
pin.
