CAUTION

Be sure to use strap installed in Step 11 to guide power plant access door while grille is being

lowered.

NOTE

Before lowering grille, apply caulking compound to metal joints between hull and lower support

of grille to assure water tightness.

With lifting device still attached to grille (6), remove screw (7), locknut (8), and brace (9) from two lugs (10).

Stow brace (9) to lug (10) with screw (7) and locknut (8).
