REPLACE POWER PLANT DOOR (ALL EXCEPT M113A3) — Continued

1.

Install two spacers (7) on ends of power plant door (6).

2.

Install bracket (3) on right end of power plant door (6).

3.

Install bracket (4) on left end of power plant door (6), with door in open position, so brackets (3) and (4) can be secured

to hull. Install two brackets, four washers (2), and screws (1) on hull. Do not tighten screws.

NOTE

Do Step 4 if power plant door does not clear top of opening.

4.

Place plates (5) under brackets (3) and (4). After each plate is installed, tighten screws (1) until power plant door (6)

clears top of opening.

5.

TORQUE FOUR SCREWS (1) TO 216-240 LB-IN (24-27 N·m). Use torque wrench.

6.

Remove lifting device and sling from power plant door.

FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS

1.

Close and lock power plant access door. See TM 9-2350-277-10.
