REPLACE COOLANT HEATER TO ENGINE ELBOW HOSE — Continued

INSTALLATION

1.

Apply light coat of sealing compound to external tapered threads of elbow (5). Do not apply sealing compound beyond

small end of tapered threads.

2.

Install elbow (5) in engine block fitting (7). Install adapter (6) in elbow (5).

3.

Install clamps (1) and (4) on hose (3).

4.

Connect hose (3) to elbow (5) and shutoff valve (2). Tighten clamps (1) and (4).

FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS

1.

Install air cleaner (WP 0168 00).

2.

Fill coolant heater system (WP 0710 00).

3.

Start coolant heater. See TM 9-2350-277-10. Check for leaks. Turn heater off.

4.

Close power plant access door. See TM 9-2350-277-10.

5.

Install power plant rear access panels (WP 0439 00).

6.

Start engine. See TM 9-2350-277-10.

7.

Raise and lock ramp. See TM 9-2350-277-10.

8.

Stop engine. See TM 9-2350-277-10.
