a. Disassembly — Continued

• The follower group has a safety interlock, which keeps the block assembly from moving to

the firing position until breechblock is fully closed. The follower must be in good working

condition and properly assembled to make sure safety interlock works to avoid injury.

• The firing pin is under pressure and will spring out when removed. Hold firing pin during

disassembly to prevent injury.
