c. Inspection of M823 Projectile

Since the M823 projectile will be reused many times, it will be rejected only for the following reasons.

Nose cone (22) is cracked or broken.

One or more code and time switches (23) cannot be rotated or will not stay set to a number.

Severe damage to M823 projectile (24) body which could prevent it from being rammed or extracted,

and cause damage to the interior of the tube.

Badly damaged or worn obturator (25) which results in failback.

Damaged base which prevents proper extraction.
