Engine access door open (TM 9-2350-311-10)

STE/lCE-R test set (item 61, Appx H)

Fuel shutoff shut off (TM 9-2350-311-10)

WARNING

The MASTER switch must be turned OFF before

repairing or replacing batteries, battery cables, or

starter motor.

NOTE

When using multimeter, refer to multimeter operating

instructions for setup.

1. Turn MASTER switch ON.

2. Place red multimeter lead on positive post

and black lead to ground.

3. Crank engine and check for voltage.

4. If voltage is below 18 Vdc while cranking,

clean, tighten, repair, or replace necessary

cables (para 8-28). Crank engine and

check voltage.

5. Turn MASTER switch OFF.

Is voltage 18 Vdc or above?
