a. BATTERY CIRCUIT — CONTINUED
CONTINUED FROM STEP A
If voltage is 18 Vdc or above, replace
starter motor (para 8-14).
1. Turn MASTER switch ON.
2. Place red lead of multimeter on positive
post and black lead on negative post of
battery (1).
3. Crank engine and check voltage.
4. Voltage reading should not be below 9
Vdc.
5. Repeat on remaining batteries (2 ,3, and 4).
Is voltage 9 Vdc or below?
If voltage is 9 Vdc or below for any
battery, check battery specific
gravity and replace if necessary
(para 8-28).
If voltage is 9 Vdc or above for any
battery and problem recurs, batteries
should be checked individually and
replaced as required (para 8-28).
