PROCEDURE
a. Check for missing or broken Iockwires (22). Torque
mounting screws (23) to 90 Ib-ft (122 N·m).
b. Remove end cover. Inspect bearing retainer nut.
Check the performance of items that were adjusted,
repaired, or replaced as a result of the road test.
Check bump stop brackets (24) with a wrench for
looseness, if loose, torque bump stop mounting bracket
bolts (25) to 300-350 Ib-ft (407-475 N·m).
NOT FULLY
MISSION
CAPABLE IF:
a. Any loose,
missing, or
broken
retaining bolts or
cotter pins.
Lockwire broken
or missing.
b. Any visual
signs of a loose
nut or sheared
cotter pin, final
drive will be
removed and
replaced.
