8. Place crankshaft (14) on suitable V-blocks or stand (20) (item 131, WP 0176) with crankshaft

resting on main bearing journals.

9. Remove sling (15) from hoist (19) and crankshaft (14).

10. Remove seven upper main bearing halves (21) from bearing bores in crankcase.

a. Mark back of upper main bearing half (21) with its respective location using a grease

pencil, for example "1 case," "2 case" and so on.
