INSTALLATION (Continued)

CAUTION

The crankshaft counterweights for connecting rod bearing journals

1 (left and right) and 6 (left and right) must be in the up position so

the crankshaft will clear the sides of the crankcase when it is installed

or damage will occur.

2. Install lifting sling (15).

a. Rotate crankshaft (14) until counterweights (A and B) are in the "up" position as shown.

b. Install sling (15) (item 26, WP 0176)

adapter (A) with dowel pin hole over

flywheel flange dowel pin (16) and

secure to flange (B) with two flywheel

mounting bolts (17).
