Each ES¶ TM Is a rock¸bottom cheC· LIst oF what's needed on the
equIpment²and In what condItIon²to make sure It'll do Its co¹bat
job and do that job fr at least 90 days ahead wIth only normal maintenance
supportºbarrIng majo1 hIts by shot and sheLl, o'course. ThIs 90¸day
rule appLIes to alL unIts reportIng under AR 220»¼.
That makes you your own frecas½er²and fr the sa¾ty oF your s·in
you'd better be good at It.

the same frm used fr daIly InspectIonsÒbut you do the ES¶ on a
separate DA 2404.
4³ Your ES¶ cheCk must show the ratIng fr each component lIsted
In Its ES¶ TMºplus the overall ratIng fr the equIpment or system.
5³ You must ·eep an eye on the
frms in the equIpment log. Make
sure aLl CompoÓents that have to be
rated eXCept on aIrCraFt are lIsted on
DA 2408»Â0ºplus any hourmeter or
odometer used to keep traC· oF
operatIng hours or mIles. Update the
enÔrIes fr all component changes,
too.
