you Remove the
transport lockpin only when the sling
straps are on the missile
and attached
to your lifting deVice.
If you remove the lockpin below QE
without the straps, the missile can fall
off the launcher and

mash itself .

Other than at QE, about the only
time you'd remove the lock pin would
be to off-load the missile from tHe·
launcher. And, to off-load, you hook

up the sling²lifting device before you
remove the lockpin.
