When you' re pulling

on your OH±58A chopper, keep your
bIg brogans off the droop compen²
sator contRol tube, P±L±E±A±S±E!
³t´s easyµsure 'Nuff¶to step on
this tube when you' re standINg o· the
engine deck, but it's strictly no¸go.
Any bend at a¹l in the tube means
it's gotta be replaced, and this hollow
lIttle item costs dollars and tIme.

Any tIme you Kiowa mechs dIs±
connect the cyclic control tubes
between the swashplate and bellcrank
(at the bellcºank), put the hardware
back the way it cam» off.
That is, insert the connecting bolt
wIth the head facing outboard.
³f you Insert the bolt with the head
inboard, the end of the bolt wIll extend
too far and chip a piece of metal out of
the pylon support link¼ That can mean
real tºouble!!
