eµoUgh to bind up your accelerator
Linkage and cause a runaway trUcK.
Get under your trucK and checK for
loose nUts on those moUnting bolts.

Get your bUd¶y to help with another
checK. Start the engine.
Move the
transmission shif· leVer to parK (P).
Set your brakes. ¸aVe youR bUddy get
under the
truck¹lengthWise so he
won't get crushed if the trUcK moVes.
¸e'll watch for any moVement aroUnd
those moUnts when yoU reV up the
engine.
ºf you find a loose moUnt, get your
»mech to torqUe the nUt to 45¼50 lb½ft
and pUt in a neW cotter pin, ¾S¾
5315¼00¼012¼0123.
ºf the bolt is missing or broken, get
it fixed Under the Warranty. ºf the
¸e'll torque the shacKle bolts and the
'.f
trucK is oUt of Warranty, get your mech
spring hanger bracKet bolts to 115¼125
to put in
a
neW bolt ¿SCM 31007 Part
lb¼ft.

31007 Part ¾o. 19581ÁÂ, and cotter
pin ¾S¾ 5315¼00¼012¼0123.
ChecK the bolts again after 50 to 100
miles. MaKe sUre the cotter pin is still
there. ¸aVe yoUr mech retorque any
mount that's had the bolt or insulation
